Do not compare rates without comparing site type
A lower nightly price may represent dry camping while a higher price includes water, sewer and 50-amp power. When comparing a FamCamp with a civilian RV park, compare the actual site and included services rather than only the advertised starting price.
Military campground value can go beyond the campsite
For eligible travelers, an installation location may also put the RV close to an exchange, commissary, fitness center, outdoor recreation program or other services they are authorized to use. Those benefits can make the location more convenient even when the nightly rate is not the absolute lowest in the area.
