Use this worksheet while speaking with the campground or reviewing its official information. It keeps the answers for one stay together instead of scattering them across a reservation email, a map and handwritten notes. Blank fields mean you still have something to check; they do not mean a service is unavailable.
Start with the decision that can stop the trip
Confirm eligibility and installation entry before comparing campsite amenities. If the campground is behind a controlled gate, ask how every adult in your party will enter and whether you must register before arrival. For a recreation area outside the main installation, ask about its own entry procedure.
Describe the whole rig
A “38-foot trailer” and a “60-foot truck-and-trailer combination” answer different questions. The trailer length helps staff choose a pad; the combined length helps them assess the gate, turns and parking. Measure your own setup and explain which measurement you are giving. Ask where the truck or towed vehicle will park after you set up.

What to ask when an answer is unclear
If the campground lists a maximum RV length, ask whether that includes the tow vehicle. If it says full hookups, confirm the electrical service and whether water or sewer has seasonal restrictions. If it offers overflow, ask whether it can be reserved, when it opens and whether utilities are provided. Write the answer for your assigned site, rather than assuming it applies to the entire park.
Keep a workable backup
Identify another stop before your travel day. Consider whether you can reach it with daylight remaining and whether you need to reserve it. An overflow area can be useful, but it should only be your backup after the campground confirms its availability and rules. Allow extra arrival time for registration and the drive from the gate to the campground.
