Full-hookup military parks can be useful places to catch up on laundry, dump tanks, fill water and perform basic RV maintenance. But because hookups vary, verify the site type before treating a stop as a reset day.
Keep a civilian backup for fixed dates
If you must be in a city for an appointment, family event or flight, do not make a first-come military campground your only lodging plan. A backup reduces the pressure to accept an unsuitable site or arrive late at an unfamiliar gate.
